February 1 - Bend Team News
Good Sunday Bend Swim Families!
We have entered the Racing Period of the season and the next few weeks should be exciting! Great swims from lots of swimmers this weekend at the Rogue Meet!
We have a few practice changes to accommodate the race sessions – so please note the changes below on the next two Wednesdays and this coming Friday.
It is also very important that families commit in advance for the meets and race days – we have really tried to communicate these to everyone – please read the team emails and ask your coach if you have any questions!
You can go to the web site and look through the events that are posted – they all have due dates and groups that should be racing noted clearly!
Volunteering – please signup to help if your swimmer is racing. Most positions are for timers, but we do have a shadowing positions available for any parent that might consider becoming an official or meet administrator. Bend Swim Clubs ability to host meets is dependent upon having parents officiate and work the timing table and an easy way to see these positions is to signup at one of these quick meets to see what these positions entail (you will just watch and do not have to have any experience)

All the meets below will be at Juniper. Warm-up will be 4:30-5:15 PM and the meet will be done by 6:30 PM. Events details are on the team web site and you can commit soon. *Please put the dates you would like to participate in the notes section*
Feb 4: For Swimmers in the Dolphin, Red, Blue, Orange, Apex, and Bronze Groups. Entries due Monday, February 2nd
Feb 6: Swimmers in the Dolphin, Red, Blue, Orange, Bronze, Apex, Silver, Gold, Senior 1 and HS Development Groups. Entries due Monday, February 4th
Feb 11: For Swimmers in the Dolphin, Red, Blue, Orange, Apex, and Bronze Groups. Entries due Monday, February 9th
We also have the team meet (for everyone) = Bend Valentines Meet - Entries due Monday, February 7th
Staying Healthy – we want to make sure everyone knows the team policy about attending practice when you are not feeling well. If you have a fever or you have flu-like symptoms please stay home and rest!
